Voice of Desire II

In my first post, I introduced my blog with its namesake work, Voice of Desire. That work is an embodiment of my interests in art. It is a dialogue between the sacred and the profane. I thought that it was so funny that I had to make another. That is where my knowledge of fashion came in handy. The colour combination I used, here, is a much lesser known one, at least as a stripe motif. While looking for the colour codes I discovered that Kim Kardashian, among others, wore an outfit based on this palette. I don't even know who KK is, really.

I like this stripe set more than the original, because it is brighter, and more vibrant. Although, while I was making this, I remembered that Gucci has yet another combination: Blue-Red-Blue. I thought, "Now that would look good." There is just one problem: a painting already exists of that. It's called Voice of Fire. haha.

Without having planned it, I have completed the trilogy. Like number 1, this one is still just a digital rendition, but I do plan to paint it. It was completed April 18, 2013.
