I Think I'm Big Meech

I haven't always been a fan of the Teflon Don, although I will admit that I find his career ark rather interesting. The basic problem is that so many of his songs are so similar, and they are ridiculously overwrought. Having said that, there is is a time and place for Ricky Rozay; I particularly enjoy cooking to his music, and filling in as back up vocals by blurting out 'oh' and 'Ross,' every so often.
Anyway, my favourite Rick Ross track is unquestionably B.M.F. (Blowing Money Fast), the song that shares it's name with the former Chicago crime syndicate, the Black Mafia Family, one of the two founders of which was none other than Demetrius 'Big Meech' Flenory. It's one of Ross's best known tracks, behind Hustlin, and if you are reading this, the chances are that you've heard it. The energy of the song is exceptional, and it somehow manages to make the luxury of the claimed criminal lifestyle seem special in a genre already saturated with similar descriptions.
So I chose the second part of the hook, which varies in that it has 'getting work,' instead of 'whipping work.' To be completely honest, I'm not sure why I chose the form instead of the latter. The more I say it the more the latter rings. Perhaps, I liked the clarity of the phrase I chose, which is code for buying cocaine (like 'doing work' means snorting it). Whipping work, the alternative, refers to blending the coke, preparing it for redistribution. I may choose to make another version.
