I believe that one should strive to make art in all of one's endeavours. This card is a prime example of that philosophy. Back in November, the company of one of my clients was hosting a charity bake sale which would not only help local children, but which would also celebrate the diversity of the workforce. Participating employees would bake something tasty from their culture. My client, a talented amateur pastry chef, ventured into the fanciful and created for Canada's representation bite-sized pastries filled with dark chocolate and raspberries: "Baises françaises". To accompany his delicious display, I created pro bono the 3 x 3" cards you see. It wasn't a big or elaborate project, but the tasteful design lent a professional quality to the display. Unsurprisingly, the pastries were the top sellers!
Ink on cardstock. Printed 18 November 2015.
