"The stream will cease to flow;
The wind will cease to blow;
The clouds will cease to fleet;
The heart will cease to beat;
For all things must die."
Tennyson wrote that. I have always struggled with reading, which is ironic, considering the size and wealth of my parents's library. Yet, as many of the volumes are collections of poetry, I have tried to culture myself a little. Some of Tennyson's work is particularly affective, and for me, nothing more so than those five lines. It is from them that this work got its title. Currently, the only print of it in existence has them on the verso.
It is another version of the memento mori. This one was created as a mosaic on photoshop, from a few more detailed shots. Of the two, this is my favourite, because is is more dynamic. It can be done as a print or as a painting. Completed June 19, 2012.
In gray scale, as a photograph. This took a couple of hours to make, on March 1, 2013. To clarify, I made the two images separately.
