This shot is from the same set as the previous one: Hedi's Girls. I like it more than the previous one for two reasons. Firstly, Raquel Zimmermann's gaze to tender, and I like tender things. The second reason is an incredibly geeky one. The jacket that she is sliding out of is one that Hedi Slimane designed in 2005. It is one of, if not the most coveted Dior Homme leathers: the 'l-zip.' I don't think it was that well known until Hedi wore it to a party. Now, if you can even find one for sale, it will set you back a good $15 000. I collect Dior Homme, so this sort of thing makes my day. Anyway, this is one of my favourite pieces.
Original is a 5.5"x8.5" pen&ink drawing, but it can be done as a print or a painting. Completed May 30, 2012.
