A sketch of Rodin's "Torso" (Study for the Walking Man) that a made for my dad, on Father's Day. I'm not sure why, but I often do studies of Rodin for my dad. Perhaps the rugged, heavy figures echo my dad's own masculinity. He is undoubtedly the fibre that holds my family together.
It is not a large work, measuring only 8.8cm x 14.5 cm, but it appears titanic. I created it in five or six hours on Sunday, June 20, 2010. It is graphite on very coarse Arches watercolour paper.
Not for sale.
