Eyes

When I was in grade ten, I had to do a project related to graffiti. I was thrilled, because ever since I was little, I have been interested in the art of the street. I like how direct it is, and the creativity inspires me. There was one artist I came across, whose work particularly spoke to me. I believe her name was YZ, and O.Y.E (Open Your Eyes) was the work's title.* Since then I have been interested with closed eyes. Mine aren't much good open, as it turns out; they just look good. Fiery green, as they were once described by an exchange student from Nanjing.

Anyway, I don't know whose eyes these are. I got them off a youtube video I have now forgotten. I thought that they would make a good study in high contrast.

The original is a 13.7cmx3.5cm sticker, but it can be done as a print or painting. Completed May 25, 2012.
