When I submitted my portfolio to Ecole Parsons à Paris, about a year ago, I included this photograph. I listed it as the title indicates. My interviewer and her colleagues admitted to have been fooled. It was actually one of the first things that came up during my interview, because Marc Jacobs attended Parsons (I knew that going in). I got into Parsons, on a $63 000 scholarship, if you're curious, but could not afford living expenses.
I did reveal that it is just a portrait of my best friend. Not bad, though! I originally took this for his own use, to help him with a self portrait. He didn't end up using this one. Taken September 30, 2011.
